I see lots of articles, videos and social media posts on ‘how to stop overthinking’.
That’s like telling someone who is struggling to lose weight — ‘stop eating’.
Think of overthinking as the deep end of your psychological ocean: if you don’t learn to swim in it you’ll drown. However, if you master it, you can explore the deep waters of your psyche. Basking in all of its wonder and glory.
Turning what was once harmful, into a powerful source of electricity that can aid you in many an endeavour.
The reason you struggle with overthinking
You struggle with overthinking because you view it as something that you have to get rid of entirely. Think about it — pun intended — it’s ludicrous to ever think you could stop ‘overthinking’.
As to stop ‘overthinking’ you’d have to cease thinking in its totality.
